How to get your orchid to re-bloom

Have you got an orchid that has lost all its flowers? It can be tempting to throw it away and just buy a new one but it's so easy to get it to re-bloom.

If you have orchids then you already know the importance of not overwatering. I choose to water mine once a week, I call it "Watering Wednesdays". I use lukewarm water from the tap to water and then let them drain in the sink for a minimum of 15 minutes.

Orchid Placement

Placement is important, orchids don’t like direct sunlight. Placing them on a north facing window is the ideal place. The dip in temperature that a window sill gets prompts the orchid to re-flower.
